Women's Tennis Finishes Wildcat Invitational

EVANSTON, Ill.- Select members of the DePaul women’s tennis team played in their first competition of the season over the weekend at Northwestern’s Wildcat Invitational. The tournament pitted the Blue Demons against competitors from 11 schools, including local rivals Illinois-Chicago and Northwestern as well as BIG EAST Conference rival
“It was a great weekend for tennis. We really got what we wanted and needed, a lot of matches,” DePaul head coach Mark Ardizzone said. “Senior Petra Rehusova and freshman Kirsten Gambrell both played some great tennis, but more importantly competed very hard. In doubles, we went 9-3 on the weekend, which was great.”
Gambrell was paired with sophomore Dunja Antunovic in the top flight of doubles action. The duo went 3-1 on the weekend, reaching the top flight quarterfinals.
