Women's Tennis Wraps Up Weekend at Eck Classic

NOTRE DAME, Ind.- Sophomore Dunja Antunovic posted a perfect 3-0 slate in singles play to win her flight as the DePaul women’s tennis team spent the weekend at Notre Dame’s Eck Classic. Freshman Kirsten Gambrell and sophomore Bojana Murisic also earned multiple singles victories in the three day tournament at the Eck Tennis Pavillion.

The Gold Flight saw Gambrell pick up a pair of wins as she topped Kali Krisik of Notre Dame on Friday and Shivani Dave of
Murisic spent the weekend in the Green Flight round robin competition and picked up victories over Ashley Moccia of WMU on Friday and Milica Zivanovic of WMU on Sunday.
The Blue Demons dropped three doubles matches to duos from WMU on Friday as Gambrell and sophomore Anja Mihaldinec fell to Emily Dudzik and Jeanmaire, Antunovic and senior Petra Rehusova lost to Priyanka Parekh and Noriko Saruta, and junior Claire Chmiel and Murisic were knocked off by Moccia and Kerstin Pahl.
The Eck Classic concludes DePaul’s fall schedule. The winter dual campaign opens January 21, 2007 against
