Women's Tennis Doubles Team Earns Highest Ranking Ever

CHICAGO – DePaul’s number one doubles team of junior Gergana Ganeva and sophomore Beatrix Csordas are ranked 32nd in the nation according to the latest FILA Collegiate Tennis Rankings that were released today.
The ranking is the highest ever achieved by a Blue Demon women’s tennis tandem.
"I am extremely proud to have Gergana and Beatrix earn such a high ranking,” DePaul head coach Mark Ardizzone said. “They have really had a great season and now are starting to be rewarded for it."
The duo is currently 11-1 on the season and coming off an upset of Catrina and Christian Thompson of Notre Dame, the nation’s fourth-ranked doubles team on April 7.
DePaul enters the BIG EAST Championships this weekend with a 15-6 overall record (6-2 in BIG EAST play). The Blue Demons are the fourth-seed in the 12-team tournament and will face the winner of the St. John’s-Connecticut match on Friday at Noon in
