Women's Tennis Falls in BIG EAST Quarterfinals

DePaul’s Dunja Antunovic and Anja Mihaldinec dropped an 8-3 decision to Jessica Sweeting and Gabriela Duch in the top doubles flight. Clare Chmiel and Bojana Murisic suffered an 8-1 defeat to Liz Cruz and Iciri Rai at No. 3 doubles.
The dual came to a close as the Blue Demons lost the bottom three singles matches. Murisic fell, 6-0, 6-2, to Cruz at No. 4, while Chmiel dropped a 6-0, 6-0 decision to Duch at No. 5. USF won No. 6 by default.
Mihaldinec led Sweeting, 5-4, in the first set of No. 3 singles when the Bulls sealed the win.
DePaul (12-11) faces ninth-seeded Connecticut on Saturday at 8 a.m. in consolation play.
