No. 88 Dunja Antunovic’s singles winning streak ended at 14 matches with a 6-1, 6-4 loss to Olga Votavova in the top flight. It was the Blue Demon sophomore’s first loss since February 4. Antunovic holds a season record of 23-4 in singles action.
Kirsten Gambrell and Anja Mihaldinec saw their singles winning streaks end at seven matches as both Blue Demons suffered their first loss since March 2. Gambrell lost, 7-5, 6-3, to Maria Vasilyeva at No. 3 singles, while Mihaldinec fell, 6-4, 6-0, to Catherine Zawadzki in the fifth flight.
Bojana Murisic dropped a 6-4, 6-4 decision to Ashley Lipton in the second singles match and Clare Chmiel fell, 6-0, 6-2, to Carolina Huignard at No. 4 singles.
Playing shorthanded due to injuries, the Blue Demons forfeited the third doubles match and sixth singles match.
