Bryce Karasiak Named Director of Strength and Conditioning

CHICAGO Bryce Karasiak has been named Director of Strength and Conditioning at DePaul University. He joins the athletics department following stints at the University of Minnesota and most recently at Augsburg College.
“We are excited to name Bryce Karasiak as our new Director of Strength and Conditioning,” said Sue Walsh, Director of Sports Medicine. “Bryce possesses all the qualities and characteristics we are looking for to bring our athletic programs to the next level.”
Karasiak spent two years as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Minnesota from 2005-07. While with the Golden Gophers, he worked with all 26 men’s and women’s programs with in-season, off-season and summer strength and conditioning programs. In his stint at Minnesota, the Golden Gophers he assisted numerous future NFL draftees and the football team’s appearance in the 2006 Insight.com Bowl in Tempe, Ariz.
After two years at Minnesota, Karasiak took the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach position at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minn. He developed and maintained the strength and conditioning program for 16 varsity programs and implemented nutritional guidelines. In addition to working at Augsburg, he also was the Director of Sports Performance at Velocity Hockey Performance where he worked with high school, collegiate and professional hockey athletes to improve their on-ice performance.
Karasiak graduated from Indiana University in May 2002 with a Kinesiology degree and earned his master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Minnesota in June 2007.
