Men's Soccer Adds Kody Suryan for Next Season

CHICAGO DePaul soccer coach Craig Blazer announced today that Kody Suryan of Huntington Beach, Calif., has signed a National Letter of Intent. Suryan joins the team next season and is the fifth member of the signing class heading to Lincoln Park in August.
"Kody is a very mature young man who is taking on an awesome challenge to play soccer in the BIG EAST Conference and receive an education in Chicago," said Blazer. "Kody has a lot of confidence in himself and is an outstanding defender. We are looking forward to our future success together here with DePaul soccer."
Suryan played at Mater Dei High School was earned first team All-League honors as a junior and senior. He was selected to represent Southern California in the state's 39th annual All-Star game and was named All-CIF after serving as a team captain as a senior. He also plays club soccer for the Cypress FC.
Suryan joins the recruiting class that features Joe Ferrari (Mundelein, Ill.), Michael Kratofil (Middleton, Wis.), Kai Lui (Chengdu, China) and Richie Podjasek (Palatine, Ill.).
The Blue Demons are coming off the most successful season in program history that saw DePaul claim the BIG EAST's Red Division title and first NCAA Championship appearance.
