Northwestern Wildcat Day Two Brackets 
EVANSTON, Ill. - The DePaul women's tennis team tallied seven wins on the second day of the Northwestern Wildcat Invitational. Freshmen Patricia Fargas and Rebeca Mirtea both reached the semifinals of their respective singles flight.
Fargas, who reached the Championship of the B Doubles Flight with partner Kelsey Lawson on Friday, continued her solid play on the singles court on Saturday. Playing in the B-Flight, Fargas won her first collegiate singles match when she topped UIC's Polina Hricistova 6-1, 7-5.
In her second match, Fargas fought to a 7-6 first-set win before dropping the second set 6-3 to South Carolina's Josefin Andersson. With the match on the line, Fargas fell to a 2-0 deficit in deciding set before winning the next six games to move to the semifinals in the B-Flight. Fargas will play Northwestern's Nida Hamilton on Sunday in the flight's semifinals.
Mitrea was also impressive in her collegiate singles debut - winning her first two matches in straight sets. Mirtea opened the D-Flight with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Emilie Renault from Minnesota and topped Western Michigan's Kathleen Hawkins 6-4, 6-1. The Blue Demon freshman tangles with Wisconsin's Caroline Bauer in Sunday's semifinals match.
In the A-Flight, Gia McKnight and Lawson each tallied a singles win. Cali Gustafson rounded out DePaul's wins with an opening round victory over UIC's Linda Hricistova.
The Blue Demons close out the Wildcat Invitational on Sunday, matches begin at 8:00 a.m.
