CHICAGO - DePaul senior forward Keisha Hampton was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll it was announced on Monday by the league office. Hampton's career-high 32 points led DePaul to an 88-72 win at Northwestern on Nov. 27.
In DePaul's only game last week, Hampton scored her career-high on 9-of-23 shooting and was 12-of-12 from the free throw line. Hampton's perfect effort from the charity stripe marks the third time in DePaul women's basketball history that a student-athlete has made all 12 of her attempts. Her 12 made free throws were also a career-high for the senior.
Against Northwestern, Hampton made her 108th consecutive career start. The Philadelphia native has started every game since arriving in Lincoln Park in 2008 and is one of three current seniors in Division I to have started more than 100 consecutive games.
Hampton also tallied a team-best five rebounds against the Wildcats and added three assists and two steals.
This is Hampton's first honor roll selection this season, while the senior's name appeared on the honor roll five times during the 2010-11 season.
