PRINCETON, N.J. -- The No. 23/21 DePaul women's basketball team completes its East Coast road trip on Tuesday when it visits Princeton. The 7 p.m. (EST) showdown with the 2011 Ivy League Champions tips at the Jadwin Gymnasium. The Blue Demons (8-2) are coming off an 84-61 loss to then-No. 7/8 Tennessee in the second game of the Maggie Dixon Classic at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. DePaul was paced by Jasmine Penny's 16 points; Keisha Hampton added 14 and Anna Martin finished with 10. The Blue Demons made seven 3-pointers in the contest, while they did not allow Tennessee to make one triple on its five attempts.
Martin enters Tuesday's contest having reached double-figures in all 10 of DePaul's contests this season. Martin is averaging 19.1 points per game which ranks second in the BIG EAST and 31st in the country. Hampton, who has started every game since arriving in Lincoln Park in 2008, is second on the team with 16.8 points per outing. Hampton ranks second in the BIG EAST with her .902 (46-of-51) free throw percentage and has made 26 of her last 27 attempts from the charity stripe.
The Blue Demons and Tigers are meeting for the first time in either team's history. The Tigers, who are receiving a vote in the ESPN.com/USA Today Coaches Poll, are coming off a 65-52 loss at Navy on Dec. 9. DePaul is 4-0 all-time against schools from the Ivy League. Princeton has already played and defeated Villanova from the BIG EAST this season. The Tigers are 15-47 all-time against teams from the BIG EAST.
Niveen Rasheed leads Princeton (7-2) with 16.8 points per game and has led her team in scoring six times and rebounding five times. Rasheed averages a team-best 8.0 rebounds per game and is second on the team with 23 assists. Lauren Polansky paces the team with 25 assists.
Following Tuesday's game, the Blue Demons return to Illinois and host Arizona State on Dec. 16. DePaul hits the road for a contest at Illinois State on Dec. 19. The Blue Demons then close out 2011 with two contests at McGrath-Phillips Arena. DePaul hosts Southern Illinois on Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. and Northern Illinois New Year's Eve at 2 p.m.

- It Could Happen: Coach Doug Bruno could win his 536th career coaching victory and 496th at the collegiate level... Keisha Hampton could start her 113th consecutive game... with one 3-pointer it would run DePaul's streak to 69 consecutive games with a 3-pointer.
