Kling and Fargas Shine At Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Playing it fourth ranked team of the season; the No. 73 DePaul women's tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss at No. 64 Ohio State on Friday at the OSU Varsity Tennis Center.
The Blue Demons (8-3) got their two points in singles from the top two spots. Jasmin Kling put the Demons on the board with her two-set victory over Kara Cecil. Kling improves 8-5 on the season and is 6-2 in the top singles position.
Playing her sixth ranked opponent of the year Patricia Farags topped No. 123 Fidan Manashirova 3-6, 6-2, 10-6 on the second court. The win was Fargas' tenth straight, while the freshman improves to 8-0 in the No. 2 position and is 10-1 in duals. Fargas is now 3-3 against ranked opponents.
Ohio State (5-3) won the doubles point with wins on the third and first courts.
DePaul's Rebeca Mitrea and Fargas teamed-up for their 10th doubles victory when they defeated Kelsey Haviland and Noelle Malley 9-7.
The Buckeye's clinched the dual with singles victories on the fifth, fourth and third court.
The Blue Demons return to action on Saturday at the OSU Varsity Tennis Center when they play a neutral-court dual with No. 31 Arkansas. The first serve is scheduled for 11 a.m. (CT).
