Blue Demons Win Another Flight on Final Day in Evanston

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The DePaul women's team wrapped up its stay in Evanston, Ill., on Sunday afternoon at the Wildcat Invitational.
The tournament concluded after three days of action.
Playing in the doubles championship of the Brown Flight, DePaul's Jarret Fisher and Zaina Sufi won a 6-2 match over Kentucky's Cece Witten and Stephanie Fox to capture the title. The Blue Demon pair had won three matches through the first two days of the invitational to reach the final.
Overall, DePaul put together an excellent weekend, winning three flights including today's doubles crown. Yesterday, the Blue Demons won two singles flights -- Sufi captured the White Flight and Rebeca Mitrea took the Green Draw.
The Wildcat Invitational was DePaul's third competition of the fall. This week, the Blue Demons will take aim at the ITA Midwest Regional in Ann Arbor, Mich. The tournament is slated for Oct. 11-12.
