DePaul and Louisiana-Monroe Duel on Saturday

LAS VEGAS - The DePaul women's basketball team puts its three-game winning streak on the line when it takes on Louisiana-Monroe in the final game of the Duel in the Desert on Saturday at UNLV's Cox Pavilion. The Blue Demons and Warhawks tip at 2:30 p.m. (PT)
DePaul (7-3) has won its first two games at the Duel in the Desert. The Blue Demons took a 77-63 game against Pittsburgh on Dec. 19 and most recently recorded a 73-66 victory over Washington. The Blue Demons have been paced in Las Vegas with Chanise Jenkins' 15.5 points and 5.5 assists and rebounds during the tournament. The sophomore guard is coming off a career-high 18 point performance against Washington.
Megan Rogowski (14.0) and Jessica January (11.0) are also averaging double-figures during the tournament. Brittany Hrynko is averaging 8.5 assists in the last two games and is coming off a career-best 12 assists against the Huskies.
On the year, Hrynko is averaging 5.7 assists per game while Jenkins is dishing out 5.5. The Blue Demons have been the masters of assists - recording one on 208 of their 304 (68.4%) of their baskets. DePaul has recorded 20 or more assists in three of its last four games and is coming off a 26-assist performance against Washington.
Louisiana-Monroe (4-7) has dropped four of its last five including its two games at the Duel in the Desert. The Warhawks fell to Washington 81-77 and on Friday, 76-61 against Pittsburgh. ULM is led by Ashleigh Simmons' 17.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.
DePaul and ULM are meeting for the first time on Saturday. DePaul is 5-3 against the current lineup of the Sun Belt Conference.
Following the Duel in the Desert, the Blue Demons break for the Christmas holiday, before returning to the court at Bradley on Dec. 29. DePaul and the Braves tip at 3 p.m. on in Peoria.
