LAS VEGAS - Chanise Jenkins scored a career-high 18 points and added eight assists to lead the DePaul women's basketball team to a 73-66 win over Washington on Friday at the Duel in the Dessert being played at UNLV's Cox Pavilion.
DePaul has won its last three games and improves to 7-3 on the year. Washington's three-game winning streak was snapped as the Huskies fall to 5-4.
Jenkins team up with Brittany Hrynko to record 20 assists versus the Huskies. The Blue Demons recorded an assist on 26 of their 30 baskets with Hrynko dishing out a career-best 12. The junior guard also added four steals, five rebounds and three points.

Rogowski caught fire early as the junior scored DePaul's first eight points. The guard made her first two triples and connected on a jumper from 10-feet to push the Blue Demons to an 8-4 advantage. However Rogowski would head to the bench after picking up her second foul with 15:45 to play in the half.
Washington answered with a 10-3 run and led 14-11 with 11:15 in the first.
The Blue Demons responded and went on a 23-4 run which was keyed by 14 straight points from Jenkins. The sophomore guard connected on back-to-back-to-back triples before a 10-foot jumper and another 3-pointer which gave DePaul a 34-18 lead with 4:11 to play in the half.
During DePaul's impressive first half run, the Blue Demons stingy defense forced seven Huskie turnovers and held Washington to just 1-of-8 shooting during the 6:37 run.
Jenkins finished with 16 first-half points and DePaul went to the locker room with a 40-29 advantage.
The Blue Demons pushed their lead to 21 points (56-35) on a Kelsey Reynolds 3-pointer with 13:32 on the clock. Washington responded over the next six plus minutes with a 12-0 run and pulled within nine points (56-47) on a Walton 3-pointer with 8:46 to play.
The Huskies got within five points (71-66) in the final 14 seconds, but a pair of free throws by Centrese McGee sealed the Blue Demon victory.
