CHICAGO - The DePaul women's tennis team was one of 129 programs recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for its cumulative team grade-point average following the 2012-13 season.
The Blue Demons' team GPA surpassed the award's minimum of 3.2; it is the sixth consecutive year that DePaul has earned the ITA team academic award.
Additionally, nine Blue Demons were named ITA Scholar Athletes. Patricia Fargas, Jarret Fisher, Zhavia Gray, Jasmin Kling, Kelsey Lawson, Rebeca Mitrea, Carolin Neumann, Zaina Sufi and Ana Vladutu each posted a cumulative GPA above 3.5.
It is the second-straight year that nine DePaul student athletes have been named to the team. Six Blue Demons were ITA Scholar Athletes in 2011.
