Vladutu Loses Three-Set Battle in ITA Quarterfinals

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- DePaul's ride through the ITA Midwest Regional came to an end on Monday afternoon when junior Ana Vladutu came up just short in the Quarterfinals of the Main Singles Draw.
Vladutu lost a three-set battle to Notre Dame's Monica Robinson, 6-1, 4-6, 7-5.
Vladutu was one of two Blue Demons that advanced to the Round of 16 (Patricia Fargas) and the only DePaul athlete left standing after the weekend.
DePaul will continue its fall season next weekend (Oct. 24-26) at the Hoosier Invitational in Bloomington, Ind.
