DePaul Goes 4-0 on Day One in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The DePaul women's tennis team got off to a perfect start at the Hoosier Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Friday's action marked the first day of competition in the three-day tournament.
Ana Vladutu, the tournament's top seed, handed Andrea LeBlanc (Morehead State) a 7-5, 6-0 defeat and No. 2 seed Patricia Lancranjan downed Beatriz Machado Santos (Missouri), 4-6, 6-4, 10-2. Both Vladutu and Lancranjan advanced to the semifinals of the Red Draw with their wins.
In the Crimson Draw, Rebeca Mitrea moved through to the semis by virtue of a comfortable 6-0, 6-1 win over Yuriko Ono (Western Michigan).
In the tournament's only doubles draw, Vladutu and Lancranjan advanced to the semifinals with an 8-6 victory over Missouri's Santos and Spearman.
The Hoosier Invitational continues Saturday in Bloomington.
