DePaul Posts Another Undefeated Day in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The DePaul women's tennis team put together its second consecutive undefeated day on Saturday afternoon at the Hoosier Invitational in Bloomington, Ind.
In doubles Ana Vladutu and Patricia Lancranjan won the tournament's only draw by defeating Morehead State's Wild and LeBlanc, 3-0, ret., in the semifinals and handling Cincinnati's Bure and Poggensee-Wei, 8-2, in the championship.
In singles play Vladutu will face Lancranjan in tomorrow's finals of the Red Draw. Today, Vladutu beat Cassidy Spearman (Missouri) in the semifinals, 5-4, ret. Meanwhile, Lancranjan advanced to the championship match with a 6-1, 6-3 triumph over Middle Tennessee State's Jesse Grace.
In the Crimson Singles Draw, Rebeca Mitrea pushed through to Sunday's finals by virtue of a convincing 6-2, 6-2 win over Indiana's Kim Schmider. Mitrea will play Paula Gutierrez, another Hoosier, in tomorrow's championship.
The Hoosier Classic concludes tomorrow.
