Women's Tennis Caps Fall Season in Evanston

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The DePaul women's tennis team capped an already impressive weekend at the Northwestern Fall Invitational by winning all five singles matches on Sunday in Evanston.
Sunday's action marked the final day of competition at the invite and DePaul's last event of the fall season.
Five Blue Demons squared off against five Northwestern Wildcats and won all five singles matches. Patricia Lancranjan beat Lok Sze Leung, 1-6, 7-5, 6-1, and Yuliya Shupenia topped Alex Chatt, 2-6, 7-6, 6-2. Patricia Fargas handled Brooke Rischbieth, 6-1, 6-2, Rebeca Mitrea posted a solid 6-4, 6-0 victory over Jillian Rooney and Ana Vladutu capped the day with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 triumph over Rheeya Doshi.
In doubles, Mitrea and Jarret Fisher beat Elizabeth Zordani and Caroline Lynch (Yale), 8-5.
DePaul resumes its season in January at the Purdue Invitational.
