Podkowa Garners BIG EAST Accolades for Second Straight Week

CHICAGO - DePaul junior forward Megan Podkowa picked up recognition on the BIG EAST Honor Roll for the second week in a row following her performance versus Northwestern last Saturday. This is the second time in her career that Podkowa has been named to the honor roll.
Podkowa notched her second double-double of the season against the Wildcats on Saturday evening. The junior scored 16 points and secured a career-high 16 rebounds in the hard-fought battle versus Northwestern. Podkowa also added three blocks and two assists in 43 minutes of action.
Seton Hall's Daisha Simminos took home BIG EAST Player of the Week while Kenisha Bell of Marquette was tabbed as the league's Freshman of the Week. Podkowa was joined on the honor roll by Briana Glover of Xavier, Butler's Loryn Goodwin, Aliyyah Handford from St. John's and Creighton's Marissa Janning.
