Blue Demons Finishes Play Against Yale

Evanston- Three of five Blue Demons who competed in singles action collected wins today as the DePaul women's tennis team faced Yale on day two of the Northwestern Fall Event.
Overall, DePaul finished play against the Bulldogs with a 4-4 record in singles and doubles.
In singles, Zaina Sufi defeated Madeleine Hamilton 6-4, 6-3, Jarret Fisher won against Caroline Lynch 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 and Milica Tesic was victories over Elizabeth Zordani 6-1, 6-3. Patricia Lancranjan fell to Tina Jiang 6-2, 6-2, while Rebeca Mitrea dropped to Ree Ree Li 6-2, 6-3.
On the doubles end, the No. 57 ranked duo of Yuliya Shupenia and Mitrea were the lone DePaul pair to etch a win for the day, defeating Li and Hamilton 6-0. Lancranjan and Sufi lost to Valerie Shklover and Jiang 6-4 while Fisher and Tesic fell to Carol Finke and Lynch 6-4.
Tomorrow DePaul faces host Wildcats at 1 p.m. on the courts of the Vandy Christie Tennis Center to close out the squads final competition of the fall season.
