DePaul Wraps Up Fall Campaign in Evanston

Evanston- The DePaul women's tennis team finished its competition at the Northwestern Fall Event today after facing host Wildcats.
Doubles action proved to be the high point for the Blue Demons as two of the three pairs were victorious.
No. 57 ranked duo of Yuliya Shupenia and Rebeca Mitrea defeated Maddie Lipp and Alex Chatt 6-4 while Patricia Lancranjan and Zaina Sufi defeated Erin Larner and Brooke Rischbieth 7-6. Jarret Fisher and Milica Tesic fell to Manon Peri and Jilian Rooney in a close 7-5 match.
On the singles end, DePaul struggled with the Wildcats, failing to notch a win. Lancranjan fell to Lipp 6-0, 6-1, Sufi lost to Larner 3-6, 6-1, 6-4, Mitrea dropped to Chatt 6-4, 6-1, Fisher lost to Rooney 4-,6 6-2, 6-2 and Tesic fell to Rischbieth 6-4, 6-4.
The Northwestern Fall Event marked the end of DePaul's fall campaign until its dual season begins on January 23 in Atlanta for the ITA Kick Off Tournament. The Blue Demons face LSU on followed by Georgia Tech or William & Mary on January 24.
