DePaul/Connecticut Women's Basketball Game Makes FS1 History

CHICAGO – The Dec. 2 women’s basketball game between No. 23/18 DePaul and No. 1/1 Connecticut was the most-watched BIG EAST Conference women’s basketball game on FS1 since the network started in 2013.
Nearly 200,000 people tuned in see the Blue Demons and Huskies battle for 40 minutes. The back-and-forth game at McGrath-Phillips Arena featured 10 lead changes and three ties.
The Blue Demons hung with the top-ranked Huskies throughout the game and trailed by just five points with 8:12 to play. In the final minutes, Connecticut pulled away for an 86-70 victory.
DePaul is scheduled for appear on FS1 two more times this season – at Butler (Jan. 15) and at Creighton (Feb. 21). The semifinals and the championship game of the BIG EAST Tournament at McGrath-Phillips Arena will also be broadcast on FS1 in March.
