No. 35 Women's Tennis Falls to No. 21 LSU

ATLANTA - The No. 35 DePaul women's tennis team faces No. 46 William & Mary tomorrow at 9 a.m. Central time after falling to No. 21 LSU this evening.
The Blue Demons dropped the match 4-0 against the Tigers.
In doubles, seniors Zaina Sufi and Jarret Fisher fell 6-3 to Ella Taylor and Skylar Holloway at No. 3, while Patricia Lancranjan and Marina Cozac lost 6-4 to Skylar Kuykendall and Abigail Owens at No. 2. The No. 37 ranked duo of Rebeca Mitrea and Yuliya Shupenia's match at No. 1 doubles against Joana Vale Costa and Ryann Foster was unfinished at 5-4.
Singles competition finished in the order of No. 4, 3 and 6. At No.1, Shupenia's match against No. 23 Costa went unfinished 6-3, while Cozac at No. 2 against No. 52 Jessica Golovin went unfinished 6-3, 4-6. No. 93 ranked Skylar Kuykendall defeated Lancranjan 6-0, 6-3, while Mitrea fell at No. 4 to Foster 6-1, 6-4. Sufi's match at No. 5 to Abigail Owns went unfinished 6-2, 4-6, while Fisher lost to Taylor 6-3, 6-1.
Tomorrow, DePaul faces the Tribe at 9 a.m. CT in the consolation round of the ITA Kick-Off Tournament. Matches are taking place at the Ken Beyers Tennis Complex in Atlanta.
