Blue Demons Prepare for the ITA Midwest Regionals

CHICAGO - The DePaul women's tennis team travels to East Lansing, Michigan for the ITA Midwest Regional Championship presented by Oracle and hosted by Michigan State.
The matches begin on Thursday, Oct. 20 and finish on Tuesday, Oct. 25. Matches are set to take place on eight outdoor courts on the Spartans campus.
The first round of qualifying singles matches are set to begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday with doubles matches beginning on Friday at 2 p.m. CT.
The Blue Demons' Aspasia Avgeri, Florence Abbott, Milica Tesic, Yuliya Shupenia, Patricia Lancranjan, Ana Vladutu and Marina Cozac are set to compete for DePaul.
Avgeri, Abbott and Tesic begin play on Thursday in the qualifying singles bracket.
Shupenia, Lancranjan, Vladutu and Cozac are in the main draw of singles that begins on Saturday.
The doubles bracket will be announced on Thursday.

The ITA Regional Championships feature some of the top men's and women's players across the country. Over 8,000 student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, Junior and Community Colleges compete across 85 ITA Regional Championships around the country.
