
January Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

CHICAGO - DePaul senior guard Jessica January was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the second straight week it was announced on Monday by the league office.
January led DePaul to a 1-1 week which included a 107-46 win at Loyola as well as an 84-74 setback at Temple.
Against the Ramblers, January played just 22 minutes and dished out nine assist while adding 12 points and five rebounds.
At Temple, January led the Blue Demons with 21 points which marked her fourth 20-point performance of season. She also added eight rebounds, five assists and four steals.
For the week, January averaged 16.5 points, 7.0 assists and boasted a 3.5 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Creighton's Marissa Janning was named the league's Player of the Week and St. John's Alisha Kebbe was the Freshman of the Week.
January has been named the BIG EAST Player of the Week twice this season and to the Honor Roll in three other weeks.
The Blue Demons close out their non-conference schedule at 7 p.m. on Tuesday when they host UT-Martin. DePaul opens BIG EAST play at Georgetown on Dec. 28 and then travels to Villanova on Dec. 30. Both league contests will be televised on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
