CHICAGO -- DePaul head coach Dave Leitao announced today that Chris Harrison-Docks has joined the program as a graduate transfer. Harrison-Docks recently graduated from Western Kentucky and is enrolled in graduate school at DePaul.
"We are excited to add Chris Harrison-Docks to our program for next season. Chris is a proven player in college basketball and he can play either guard spot for us," said Leitao. "In addition to the experience he adds to our roster, Chris is an outstanding shooter and intense competitor."
Harrison-Docks played in 74 career games in three seasons at Western Kentucky while averaging 10.5 points per game and shooting .363 (158-435) from three-point range. He was named the 2014 Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year and his 158 career three-pointers are ranked ninth in school history.
A year ago, he played in 18 games while averaging 10.0 points in 22.8 minutes per game. Harrison-Docks averaged 11.1 points while starting 30 of 32 games as a sophomore after his freshman year that saw him average 9.9 points for the Hilltoppers.
A native of Okemos, Mich., he was a three-time All-State honoree at Okemos High School and averaged 23 points, seven assists and six rebounds during his senior season.
Harrison-Docks joins DePaul's current incoming class that includes freshmen Levi Cook, Brandon Cyrus, Al Eichelberger and Devin Gage and junior college transfer Tre'Darius McCallum. Max Strus also joins the program, but will sit out the 2016-17 season after transferring from Lewis University.
