Women's Tennis Honored by the ITA

2016 All-Academic & Scholar-Athletes
CHICAGO - The DePaul women's tennis team was recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for its academic performances Thursday evening.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is given to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.20 or above on a 4.00 scale.
In addition, seven Blue Demons were named ITA Scholar-Athletes. Marina Cozac, Jarret Fisher, Patricia Lancranjan, Rebeca Mitrea, Yuliya Shupenia, Zaina Sufi and Milica Tesic each posted a cumulative GPA above 3.5.
In order to earn status as an ITA Scholar-Athlete, players must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale for the academic year and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
More than 4,200 scholar-athletes were recognized across all divisions, along with over 700 all-academic teams.
DePaul was one of seven BIG EAST schools honored.
