CHICAGO - The road doesn't get any easier for these Blue Demons, but at least the end is in sight.
When DePaul steps onto the WMU Soccer Complex pitch at 3 p.m. Friday, it will mark the end of a long and arduous stretch of six consecutive matches away from Wish Field.
They will have their hands full. Western Michigan's 6-1-0 start is the program's best in school history with the lone setback coming to No. 20/19 Notre Dame on the road.
The Broncos have beaten Indiana, Oakland, Western Illinois, Loyola Chicago and Valparaiso and will take a four-game winning streak into their showdown with DePaul (1-4-2).
The Blue Demons are looking to bounce back from last week's losses at San Diego and Long Beach State. They are looking to get back on the winning track Friday and next week at home against Loyola to be primed for the BIG EAST season that begins on Sept. 25.
