VILLANOVA, PA - The DePaul volleyball team wrapped up their east coast trip on Sunday afternoon with a five set match. The Blue Demons were edged by Villanova, 2-3 (22-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-20, 9-15). This match makes DePaul (8-15, 2-7 BIG EAST) overall this season.
Brittany Maxwell recorded her fifth double-double for the season with 18 kills and 11 digs during the match. Maxwell also led the Blue Demons with 60 attacks and 20.0 match points.
Other DePaul leaders include Kelsey Horvath with 43 assists, Isabelle Banez with two aces and 17 digs, and Caitlyn Coffey with seven blocks for the match.
The Blue Demons are back this week with two matches. DePaul will host Butler on Friday, Oct. 20 and Xavier on Saturday, Oct. 21. Both matches will have a 6 p.m. start in McGrath-Phillips Arena.
