
DePaul Wraps Up Fighting Irish Classic

Final Results
NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Freddy Thomas fired an even-par 70 in the third round to lead the Blue Demons at the Fighting Irish Classic. Thomas finished in a tie for 22nd place for his second top 25 finish of the season.
Thomas finished the 54-hole event with a score of 213 (+3) and finished in a group in 22nd place. He was followed by Joe McCarthy in a tie for 37th. McCarthy posted a 76 (+6) on Monday for a tournament total of 217 (+7).
Bobby Thomas, Garret Buckley and Charlie Spencer-White rounded out the DePaul contingent at Warren Golf Course. Thomas shot a 76 (+6) to total 223 (+13) for the tournament and finish in a group in 57th place. Buckley was two shots behind Thomas after a 72 (+2) in the third round. He finished in a tie for 62nd place with a three-round score of 225 (+15). Spencer-White placed 67th with a 228 (+18) after he carded a 78 (+8) over his final 18 holes.
Notre Dame won the team title with a score of 822 (-18) and the Blue Demons placed 12th after a team total of 875 (+35). David Hicks of William & Mary and Steven Fisk of Georgia Southern both finished atop the individual leaderboard with scores of 204 (-6).
Up next for the Blue Demons is the Dayton Flyer Invitational on Oct. 16-17 at NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio.
