Blue Demons Fall to Creighton

ROSEMONT, Ill. - Chris Harrison-Docks scored 15 points for the Blue Demons, but it was not enough as No. 23/23 Creighton came to Allstate Arena and knocked off DePaul Saturday afternoon by a score of 93-58.
DePaul (8-17, 1-11 BIG EAST) took an early 5-2 lead behind two Tre'Darius McCallum trips to the line. After an early timeout, the Bluejays put together an 8-0 run to take the lead and Creighton (21-4, 8-4 BIG EAST) would not trail again.
Harrison-Docks hit three of his first four attempts from three-point land, including three's on back-to-back trips up the court. The Blue Demons kept the game close at 21-16 with 7:47 left.
A jumper by McCallum pulled DePaul to within three at 27-24 with four minutes left until halftime, but Creighton finished the half with a 12-2 run to take a 39-26 lead at the break.
The Bluejays opened the second half on a 17-8 run and did not look back, building the lead down the stretch.
Harrison-Docks finished with 15 points for the Blue Demons, while Tre'Darius McCallum added 11 points and four rebounds. Billy Garrett Jr. chipped in 10 points and five rebounds.
Toby Hegner led five Creighton players score in double-figures with 14 points. The Bluejays knocked down 13 three-pointers while shooting .607 (34-56) from the field overall.
DePaul faces a quick turnaround with a Monday night game against No. 2/2 Villanova at Allstate Arena. Start time is 8 p.m. on CBS Sports Network and WSCR 670 AM.

- Billy Garrett Jr. (1,536 points) passed Terry Davis (1,534 points, 1989-93) and moved into 10th on DePaul's all-time scoring list.
- Chris Harrison-Docks scored a season-high 15 points... the game was his third of the season in double-figures and 43rd of his career (40 at Western Kentucky).
- The Blue Demons have knocked down at least one three-pointer in 732 straight games.
