Early scoring was in DePaul's advantage as the squad scored its four runs in the first two innings.
With runners in scoring position in the bottom of the first, Cothern came to the plate and sent the ball to left field. The Winthrop left fielder committed an error on the play, leading to Micah Fitzgerald and Dylan Christensen to come home for the first two runs of the game.
The Blue Demons tallied its final runs in the second inning in home run fashion courtesy of the Christensen sisters. After DePaul's first two batters got out, Haydn Christensen stepped in to homer over the left field fence. Dylan Christensen followed right after with a home run over center field. The sisters now have three home runs each for the season.
Winthrop tallied its lone run in the top of the fourth after Morgan Lowers notched a single to center to place an Eagles runner on third home with two outs.
DePaul's undefeated mark this weekend marks the first time the Blue Demons return to Lincoln Park without a loss at a tournament since 2014.
Up next, DePaul travels to the Rebel Classic in Las Vegas March 9-11. The Blue Demons will face New Mexico State, UNLV, Portland State and Southern Illinois.
