DePaul Falls 4-1 to New Mexico State

LAS VEGAS - The DePaul softball team dropped its first game at the Rebel Classic 4-1 to New Mexico State on Thursday evening at Eller Media Stadium.
DePaul (9-7) finished with just one hit and a run, each tallied by Sabrina Kuchta.
New Mexico State (5-10) had nine hits and four runs.
Missy Zoch suffered her third loss in the circle. She pitched a complete game, allowing four walks and striking out nine in the 35 batters she faced. Kayla Green collected the win for the Aggies.
New Mexico State got on board first with two runs in the first inning. With two runners on second and third, a single from Fahren Glackin brought in the first run. Haley Nakamura brought in the second runner off another single.
DePaul scored its lone run in the bottom of the third. After Alysia Rodriguez grounded out, Sabrina Kuchta tripled to right field and then scored off of a fielder's choice.
The Aggies tallied its final two runs in the seventh.
