Femi Olujobi Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

Second straight week for a Blue Demon on the conference honor roll
CHICAGO – DePaul forward Femi Olujobi was named to this week's BIG EAST Honor Roll after leading the Blue Demons last week with 19.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game against Florida A&M and Northwestern. This marks the second straight week with a DePaul player on the honor roll following Eli Cain's appearance last week.
Olujobi made the most of his first two starts of the season with 19.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while shooting .737 (14-19) from the field. The graduate student went 1-for-2 from three-point range and made 9-of-11 (.818) free throw attempts.
He started the week with 16 points, seven rebounds, an assist and a steal in 28:23 against Florida A&M before posting season highs of 22 points and eight rebounds at Northwestern along with two assists and a steal in 32:21.
For the season, Olujobi is averaging 12.3 points per game and his field goal percentage of .681 (32-47) is ranked third among all BIG EAST players. He's also ranked among league leaders in scoring and rebounding this season.
Olujobi and DePaul continue the non-conference schedule with two home games this week against local opponents. The Blue Demons host Chicago State on Wednesday night and face UIC on Friday evening at Wintrust Arena.
