CHICAGO — DePaul men's basketball hosts Notre Dame in its final exhibition ahead of the 2026-27 season on Friday, Oct. 23, at Wintrust Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. as part of Blue Demons Family & Alumni Weekend.
The game will not be televised or streamed; fans unable to attend can follow along on Radio DePaul, the university's student radio station.
DePaul won its first exhibition of the season, 72-65, over crosstown foe Loyola Chicago on Sunday. Transfer Ade Popoola was red-hot, draining seven three-pointers for 25 points and adding a team-high three steals. Sophomore Kruz McClure added 13 points, including a 9-of-11 mark from the free-throw line. As a team, the Blue Demons assisted on 15 of their 18 made field goals.
Notre Dame enters the season with a new look, featuring 10 newcomers under fourth-year head coach Micah Shrewsberry. Despite the roster newcomers, the Irish return a pair of starters in Braeden Shrewsberry and Brady Koehler. Braeden Shrewsberry averaged 11.9 points per game last season while shooting better than 40 percent from three-point range. The Fighting Irish fell 75-65 to Dayton in their first exhibition of the season, with fifth-year guard Ethan Roberts leading the way with 11 points and two assists.
