Blue Demons Meet UIC Friday Night at Wintrust Arena

DePaul looks for seventh straight win on its home floor
CHICAGO - DePaul plays the third of three consecutive games against local competition on Friday night when the UIC Flames visit Wintrust Arena. The Blue Demons split the first two games with a loss at Northwestern on Saturday followed by a win over Chicago State on Wednesday. Start time between the Blue Demons and Flames at Wintrust Arena is set for 6 p.m.
Friday's game will be televised on FS1 with Jeff Levering (play-by-play) and Stephen Bardo (analyst) handling the television duties. The game can also be seen online at foxsportsgo.com or the FOX Sports Go app. DePaul's radio tandem of Zach Zaidman (play-by-play) and Dave Corzine (analyst) can be heard on WSCR 670 AM as well as online on DePaul All-Access at www.depaulbluedemons.com. UIC is 4-6 overall this season and enter Friday's contest following an 84-72 loss at Colorado on Dec. 8. DePaul head coach Dave Leitao is in his seventh season at DePaul and his fourth since returning to the program after leading the Blue Demons three postseasons in three years from 2002-05. Overall, the 2018-19 campaign is Leitao's 13th as a head coach at the collegiate level. UIC is led by Steve McClain who is in his fourth season leading the Flames and 13th season overall as a head coach at the collegiate level.
Neighborhood Bully: Over the last eight-plus seasons (since start of 2010-11 season), DePaul is 18-6 against Chicagoland opponents (Chicago State, UIC, Loyola-Chicago, Northern Illinois, Northwestern)... in the last 18-plus seasons (since the start of 2000-01 season), the record against locals is 32-12... the Blue Demons play three local opponents in 2018-19 marking the seventh time in the last nine seasons with three locals on the schedule.
