Jalen Coleman-Lands to Miss Upcoming Games with Hand Injury

Junior guard injured left hand in UIC game on Dec. 14
CHICAGO – DePaul junior guard Jalen Coleman-Lands suffered a left hand injury during the Dec. 14 game against UIC and will miss upcoming games with a broken left hand. Coleman-Lands was injured with 17:47 left in the second half of Friday's game.
"This is very unfortunate for Jalen as he was starting to hit his stride on both ends of the court for us," said DePaul head coach Dave Leitao. "We know our medical staff will provide him the support he needs for a full recovery and we look forward to his return to the court."
Coleman-Lands underwent surgery on Tuesday afternoon and the timeframe for his return to action is to be determined. He started all nine games this season for the Blue Demons while averaging 9.6 points and 2.8 rebound over 29.9 minutes per game. Over the last six games, Coleman-Lands is averaging 12.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.
DePaul closes the non-conference schedule this week with games against Incarnate Word and Boston College. Incarnate Word visits Wintrust Arena on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. before Boston College makes the trip to Chicago for a 2:30 p.m. game on Saturday.
