CHICAGO - Talk about bouncing back in a big way, that's exactly what DePaul women's tennis did on Sunday.
Snapping a four-match losing streak, the Blue Demons swept past Northern Illinois 7-0 at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness.
They opened up winning the doubles point with the tandems of Keisha Clousing and Patricia Lancranjan claiming victory at the No. 1 position followed by Milica Tesic and Aspasia Avgeri at No. 2 and Marija Jovicic and Alina Kuzmenkova at No. 3.
That was only the beginning. Clousing, Lancranjan, Avgeri, Jovicic, Tesic and Kuzmenkova racked up the remaining six match points after running the table in singles. DePaul won every set by two or more points.
It was the best performance of the dual-match season for coach Mark Ardizzone's team and the first time the Blue Demons have posted a 7-0 result.
They will be ready for more of the same Saturday at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness when they face off against Bradley in a match scheduled for a 3 p.m. start.
