Setback on Sunday for Short-Handed Blue Demons

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Women's tennis ran into a talented Big Ten program Sunday in the fourth in a stretch of seven consecutive road matches.
Forfeiting one singles match and one doubles match contributed to a 4-0 loss at the IU Varsity Courts.
DePaul drops to 6-8 in the dual-match season while Indiana is now 15-8, including 13-3 at home.
In singles, Alina Kuzmenkova split 6-1 sets with Indiana's Jelly Bozovic and was trailing 3-1 in her unfinished match. Aspasia Avgeri lost the first set to Caitlin Bernard but led 4-1 in the second set of her unfinished match.
In doubles, Milica Tesic and Avgeri were tied 5-5 in their unfinished competition. Short-handed DePaul lost the No. 1 doubles match and forfeited at No. 3.
The Blue Demons are nearing the end of the tough road stretch. They travel to face Charleston Southern on Friday and Coastal Carolina on Saturday.
The seventh road match is April 21 at Marquette.
