Hanel, Strus Named to NABC Honors Court

National Association of Basketball Coaches honors top academic student-athletes
CHICAGO – DePaul's Joe Hanel and Max Strus were named to the NABC Honors Court for outstanding efforts in the classroom during the 2017-18 season. The National Associated of Basketball Coaches (NABC) honors the top academic student-athletes for all three NCAA divisions and two NAIA divisions.
To qualify for the NABC Honors Court, athletes must be junior or senior with a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2017-18 academic year.
Only DePaul, Seton Hall and Villanova featured multiple players from the BIG EAST membership. Villanova led the conference with six honorees followed by two each from DePaul and Seton Hall. Butler and Creighton each placed one student-athlete on the Honors Court.
