
Eriksson Earns Freshman of the Week in #BIGEASTwsoc Weekly Awards

CHICAGO - Freshman netminder Mollie Eriksson was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on Monday in the #BIGEASTwsoc Weekly Awards. This is the first certificate earned by DePaul women's soccer (4-2-1) this season.Â
Eriksson put up two clean sheats over the weekend in her teams 1-0 defeat of Red-Line Rival Loyola-Chicago on Thursday and a 0-0 draw against the LMU Lions on Sunday. She had three key saves against LMU, the biggest coming in the second overtime period just three minutes in. These two games marked her second and third clean sheets of the season.Â

BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week
Hannah McNulty, Providence, So., F
McNulty led the Providence offense in two wins last week, scoring a BIG EAST-best three goals in victories over Brown and Harvard. The sophomore provided the insurance score in a 2-0 win over cross-city rival Brown on Thursday before notching the game winner in a 3-1 victory over Harvard on Sunday. McNulty posted a league-high 12 shots last week, averaging six per contest to lead the Friars.

BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
Julia Leonard, Butler, So., D
Leonard led the nationally ranked Bulldogs to a pair of shutout victories last week by not allowing a single shot to be on target. No. 22 Butler held Evansville and Northern Kentucky to just five total shots, zero on goal, as the Bulldogs outshot their two opponents by a 33-5 margin, including 16-0 on goal. Butler defeated Evansville 4-0 on Thursday and Northern Kentucky 2-0 on Sunday.

BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Toni Bizzarro, Xavier, Jr., GK
Bizzarro earned a pair of clean sheets last week thanks to a combined 14 saves in over 195 minutes of work. The junior made eight saves in a 1-0 overtime win at Bowling Green on Thursday before denying six shots in Sunday's 3-0 home win over Akron. The Musketeers have won three straight, all in shutout fashion.

Kyra Carusa, Georgetown, Grad., F
Carusa provided the 72nd-minute game-winning goal for No. 8 Georgetown at George Mason on Sunday. The graduate student buried the unassisted go-ahead goal from eight yards out, one of her game-high six shots on the afternoon.
Leah Celarek, Marquette, Sr., M
Celarek notched her first goal since 2016 in the Golden Eagles' 2-1 win at Drake on Sunday. The senior broke into the scoring column in the 31st minute while totaling a team-best nine shots in MU's 1-1 week.
Shelby Hogan, Providence, So., GK
Hogan went 2-0 in the cage last week, making 10 saves with a .909 save percentage and 0.50 goals against average. She totaled seven saves in a 3-1 win over Harvard and three saves in a 2-0 shutout win over Brown.
Aline Reinkober, Creighton, Fr., M
Reinkober led the Bluejays' offense in their 2-1 overtime win over South Dakota on Friday. The rookie scored her second goal of the season just 4:35 into the contest and tied for the game high with four shots.
Halle Stelbasky, Butler, Sr., F
Stelbasky led Butler's offense with five points off two goals and an assist last week. The senior scored two goals, including the game winner, against Evansville on Thursday before providing a dish in a 2-0 win over Northern Kentucky on Sunday.
