Blue Demons and Red Storm Meet Saturday in Queens

DePaul and St. John's set for 6 p.m. ET start on CBS Sports Network
CHICAGO - DePaul travels to Carnesecca Arena for a Saturday evening BIG EAST game against the St. John's Red Storm. Start time on between the Blue Demons and Red Storm is set for 6 p.m. ET as DePaul looks for its second straight conference win.
Saturday's game will be televised on CBS Sports Network with Tom McCarthy (play-by-play) and Jim Spanarkel (analyst) handling the television duties. DePaul's radio tandem of Zach Zaidman (play-by-play) and Dave Corzine (analyst) can be heard on WIND 560 AM as well as online on DePaul All-Access at www.depaulbluedemons.com. St. John's - ranked No. 24 in this week's AP poll and No. 23 in the Coaches Top 25 - is 14-2 overall this season and 2-2 in BIG EAST play. The Red Storm enters Saturday's contest following a 76-71 loss at Villanova on Tuesday. The Blue Demons are 9-5 and 1-2 in the BIG EAST after the 75-74 win against Seton Hall on Sunday. DePaul head coach Dave Leitao is in his seventh season at DePaul and his fourth since returning to the program after leading the Blue Demons three postseasons in three years from 2002-05. Overall, the 2018-19 campaign is Leitao's 13th as a head coach at the collegiate level. St. John's is led by Chris Mullin who is in his fourth season leading the Red Storm and fourth season overall as a head coach at the collegiate level.
Blue Demons vs. Top 25: St. John's is DePaul's first ranked opponent of the season and the first since a 65-62 loss against No. 3/4 Xavier on March 3, 2018. A year ago, the Blue Demons played seven ranked opponents that included five games with the opponent ranked in the top five nationally. DePaul's last win over a ranked opponent was a 77-70 victory against No. 11/11 Providence on Feb. 2, 2016 at Allstate Arena.
