DePaul Meets Seton Hall Saturday in Newark

Blue Demons and Pirates meet for second time in two weeks
CHICAGO - DePaul travels to Newark for a Saturday night BIG EAST game against the Seton Hall Pirates. Start time on between the Blue Demons and Pirates is set for 8 p.m. ET as DePaul looks to bounce back from an 87-69 loss against Butler on Wednesday. The Blue Demons are looking for a season sweep of Seton Hall following a 75-74 win on Jan. 6 at Wintrust Arena.
Saturday's game will be televised on FS1 with Dave Sims (play-by-play) and Sarah Kustok (analyst) handling the television duties. The Blue Demons are 10-6 and 2-3 in the BIG EAST after the loss against Butler snapped a two-game win streak. DePaul head coach Dave Leitao is in his seventh season at DePaul and his fourth since returning to the program after leading the Blue Demons three postseasons in three years from 2002-05. Overall, the 2018-19 campaign is Leitao's 13th as a head coach at the collegiate level. Seton Hall is led by Kevin Willard who is in his ninth season leading the Pirates.

Gordon Joins Roster: Carte'Are Gordon transferred to DePaul from Saint Louis and is enrolled in Winter quarter. He will be eligible to compete following the conclusion of the 2019 Autumn academic quarter in November.
The St. Louis native appeared in 13 games for the Billikens this season with nine starts. He averaged 8.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 24.5 minutes per game. He recorded seven games in double-figures that included a season-high 14 points in games against Seton Hall and Florida State.
The 6-9 power forward was a consensus four-star recruit and ranked No. 75 in the ESPN Top 100 rankings for 2018 coming out of Webster Groves High School in St. Louis. Gordon led the Statesmen to back-to-back state titles and averaged 18.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game as a senior. Gordon has also played with USA Basketball as a member of the United States' U-17 championship team.
