Blue Demons and Pirates meet at 8 p.m. ET on FS1 and WIND (560 AM)
NEWARK, N.J. - Beginning a slate of three consecutive road games, DePaul is in New Jersey tonight to take on Seton Hall at 8 p.m. ET. The game marks the second time in 13 days the two programs will share the court as 21 points from Max Strus helped the Blue Demons to a 75-74 win over the Pirates earlier this month at Wintrust Arena. Here are three stats and storyline to get you ready for tonight.

What Worked Last Time: When DePaul beat Seton Hall on Jan. 6, head coach Dave Leitao pointed to scoring balance and excellent sharing of the basketball as the two main reasons for the win. Five Blue Demons finished in double figures and 20 of DePaul's 30 baskets were assisted as the team maintained a nice offensive flow all afternoon. While no two games are identical, look for the Blue Demons, who are currently tied for fourth in the BIG EAST at 15.1 assists per game, to try and employ a similar offensive strategy tonight.

An Advantage on The Glass: While the rebounding numbers ended up pretty close for the two teams when they met earlier this month (DePaul out rebounded Seton Hall 33-32), over the course of the season the Blue Demons have put together better rebounding statistics than the Pirates. On the season, DePaul is second in the BIG EAST in rebounding margin at +6.1 while the Pirates are eighth at -0.3 as Paul Reed (7.6 rebounds per game), Max Strus (7.3 rebounds per game) and Jaylen Butz (5.9 rebounds per game) have all made their presence felt.

Blue Demons in the BIG EAST:Â Sixteen games into the season it is a good time to see where individual Blue Demons rank in the conference in the three major stat categories. In scoring, Max Strus is sixth at 18.0 points per game, Eli Cain is 16th at 13.4 points per game and Femi Olujobi is 22nd at 12.1 points per game. For rebounding, Paul Reed is fourth at 7.6 rebounds per game, Max Strus is seventh at 7.3 rebounds per game, Jaylen Butz is 15th at 5.9 rebounds per game and Femi Olujobi is 27th at 4.8 rebounds per game. For assists, Eli Cain is seventh at 4.0 assists a game while Devin Gage is eighth at 3.9 assists per game.
