CHICAGO - After a nine-match home stand, the Blue Demons are back on the road to play a lone contest against Butler Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 5 p.m. CT. Play will take place at Hinkle Fieldhouse.Â
After an 8-1 start to the season and going undefeated in both the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational and the DePaul Invitational, the Blue Demons faced a tough five-match losing streak, however, were able to pull out a gritty four set win against Seton Hall to cap off last weekend. DePaul now has a record of 9-6 (1-2 BIG EAST) after the first week of league play.Â

SERIES AGAINST BUTLER
The Bulldogs hold a 17-9 advantage in the series against DePaul and won the last meeting between the two in 2018.Â
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Butler currently sits eighth in the BIG EAST standings, just one spot under DePaul. The Bulldogs are 3-10 on the season and 0-1 in BIG EAST play after dropping the league-opener in three sets to No. 10 Marquette.Â
