Noah Kolar leads Blue Demons on day one in Cincinnati
CINCINNATI, Ohio – Noah Kolar is in the top 25 to lead the Blue Demons through two rounds at the Musketeer Classic. The final 18 holes are scheduled for Tuesday morning in the event hosted by Xavier.
Kolar is in a group in 23rd place with a 36-hole total of 145 (+3). He opened the event with a 73 (+2) on Monday morning before turning in a one-over 72 on his second circuit of Maketewah Country Club.
Stephen Sul and Nik Gatmaytan turned in follow Kolar with both tied for 50th place. Sul posted two rounds of 75 (+4) while Gatmaytan fired a 73 (+2) and 77 (+6) on Monday. Perry Chong is tied for 68th following a 75 (+4) and 77 (+6) while Grant Boyson is tied for 73rd with scores of 76 (+5) and 79 (+8). Conor Glennon is playing as an individual and is in 72nd place after a 76 (+5) and 79 (+8) on Monday.
Northern Illinois and Wisconsin are tied for the team lead with scores of 571 (+3) after 36 holes. The Blue Demons are in 11th place with a score of 597 (+29). West Virginia's Philipp Matlari holds the individual lead by one shot with a two-round score of 137 (-5).
