CHICAGO - The Blue Demons are now 12-15 (4-11 BIG EAST) after pushing Villanova to five sets 3-2 (21-25, 25-20, 25-19, 20-25, 15-10) Friday evening.Â
FROM COACH ZIDEK
"Great team win tonight," said head coach Marie Zidek. "Everybody from start to finish kept the pressure on and continued to dial in their matchups. Big props to Kenzie coming in during the fifth set and making some great serves and digs to keep offensive pressure on them. We have been due for a push through moment in five sets and got a nice one tonight. Villanova is a really good team fighting for postseason and I thought our team was dialed in the entire match. So proud of the fight the team showed."
