DePaul and Buffalo set for 4 p.m. start on Sunday
CHICAGO – The Blue Demons look for their 10th straight win to open the 2019-20 season as DePaul hosts Buffalo on Sunday. Start time at Wintrust Arena is set for 4 p.m. A win would give DePaul just the eighth start of 10-0 in program history and first since the 1986-87 season.
Sunday's game can be seen on FS1 with Mike Monaco (play-by-play) and Monica McNutt (analyst) handling the broadcast duties. The game can be seen online through the FOX Sports app and website. DePaul's radio tandem of Zach Zaidman (play-by-play) and Dave Corzine (analyst) can be heard on WYLL (1160 AM) and online on DePaul All-Access at depaulbluedemons.com/live. Buffalo is 5-3 overall this season following a 90-76 loss at Vanderbilt on Tuesday night. DePaul stands at 9-0 and is receiving votes in the national polls. The Blue Demons defeated Texas Tech, 65-60, in overtime on Wednesday night at Wintrust Arena.
Nine Straight Out of the Gate: DePaul's 9-0 record to begin the 2019-20 season is one of eight streaks of at least nine consecutive wins to open a season. It's the longest streak since the 1986-87 squad started with a 16-0 record.
The 1979-80 team won its first 25 games and with a win on Sunday, the current team becomes just the eighth team in program history to start the campaign with at least 10 straight victories.

Moore, Reed Among National Leaders: Entering this weekend's action, DePaul's Charlie Moore and Paul Reed are ranked among the top 30 nationally in a variety of statistical categories.
Moore is tied for seventh in total assists and tied for ninth in assists per game. Reed is tied for third in double-doubles, ranked seventh in blocked shots per game, eighth in total blocked shots, tied for 17th in total rebound and tied for 27th in rebounds per game.
November to Remember: DePaul's 8-0 record in November marked just the seventh perfect month with at least eight victories in program history. The best month in program history was a 10-0 record in January 1980.
The Blue Demons posted a 9-0 record in January 1982 and 8-0 records in February 1979, February 1981, February 1982, December 1986 and November 2019.
Extra Frames: DePaul's 65-60 overtime win over Texas Tech on Dec. 5 was moved the program to 46-45 all-time in overtime contests. The Blue Demons have won their last three overtime games following to extra time wins last season against Penn State (72-70 on Nov. 15) and USF (100-96 on April 3).
