Nolan Named BIG EAST Field Athlete of the Week

The senior sits atop the leaderboard in long jump
CHICAGO – DePaul's Jade Nolan was named BIG EAST Women's Field Athlete of the Week marking the first Blue Demon to receive the honor during the current indoor season. Nolan placed third in the long jump and earned gold in the triple.
The Milwaukee native won the triple jump with a distance of 11.99 meters, edging out Toronto's Laura Amori (11.97 meters). This mark puts her second on the BIG EAST list. Her performance in the long jump of 5.59 meters earned her third at the SPIRE Division I Classic, but the senior still reigns as the conference leader with a mark of 5.81 meters.
Nolan was joined on the weekly honors list by Georgetown's Joseph White as the men's track athlete of the week, Nicole Hutchinson from Villanova as the women's track athlete of the week and Villanova's Jacob Kelly earned men's field athlete of the week honors. Fellow Blue Demon teammates Emily Eller and Kyle Hedge earned honorable performances after the first meet of the season last year.
DePaul track & field returns to action this Saturday at the Alex Wilson Invitational in Notre Dame, Ind.
